ContainerPort Microsite Design
ContainerPort Group is a midwest based logistics organization focused on reselling new and used shipping containers throughout North America with virtually zero web-presence at the beginning of 2018. All sales previous to the inception of the website were solicited by wooden signs hung around the shipyard. It was our job to bring their message “on the line” (reference: The Interns, 2013) within a very tight budget.
Ideation and Wireframing
Working closely with the internal team at ContainerPort we were able to focus the website to fit their exact needs. How do I buy one of these containers, and when I do, what kind of special sauce do I want on top? Loosely sketching wireframes until we hit the mark.
We took an existing brand from CP’s mother company and coaxed it into a rather simple yet elegant solution. Cutting away the fat while still engaging the eye, which, in the world of shipping containers is not an easy task. Typography and illustration style do most of the heavy lifting.
