Global CARE (Cleveland Clinic) Branding & Site Design

Cleveland Clinic’s Global CARE (Critical Care Air Rescue and Evacuation) program provides transport services to patients who are traveling more than 150 miles away from home. They provide transport from anywhere in the world to provide enrollees with Cleveland Clinic care.

This project provided me with an opportunity to work within the Cleveland Clinic brand umbrella while simultaneously developing a secondary look and feel for the Global CARE division. I started by studying the CC brand and finding areas where I can bend and push its constraints. By adding color and playing with typography I was able to create an aesthetic that fits comfortably under the Cleveland Clinic umbrella but is unique to the Global CARE division.

Global CARE Branding

A couple of items unique to the Global CARE brand are the use of color and shape. The addition of a rich gold color played nicely with the existing Cleveland Clinic blue and stood out among their numerous divisions. Adding line elements into the Typography weighted the text in a way that was completely unique to the new secondary brand. To add a sense of wonder and light-heartedness to the site we chose imagery that inspired hope and icons for a little playfulness.
